Commissioner for Works Edo State defies Oshiomhole, rejigs his campaign, calls Oshiomhole ‘sick’. – Lucky Akhimien

The Commissioner for Works, Edo State and political godson of Adams Oshiomhole, Barr Osarodion Ogie has defied his erstwhile political godfather and governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and decided to rejig his campaign for the APC gubernatorial ticket.


In a surprising broadcast, a copy of which was made available to Urhokpota Reporters, Ogie – who is believed to be an indigene of Delta State by birth – stated that he was still in the race. In a veiled reference to the governor and his aides who are marketing Mr. Obaseki, Ogie maintained that he had not stepped down for any candidate and that all those who peddle that rumour of his stepping down for Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the governor’s candidate, were liars, sick and shallow minded unpopular politicians.

In his exact words…

“Those who are alleging that I have stepped down for a particular candidate are mischief makers, blatant liars, sick, shallow minded and unpopular politicians who have no structure and want to benefit from the structure I have built for myself for years… I am still in the race and have no intention to step down for any candidate. I am more qualified to be governor and it will be stupid for me to step down for any candidate”
